Conflictividad y acción colectiva en el valle del Huasco (1990-2019)

Abstract

This article analyses a set of socio-environmental conflicts that have affected Huasco Valley, Chile, for the last thirty years. This territory shows the progressive advance of the level of sensitivity and conflict since the possibility of execution or implementation of large investment projects became part of the local social reality -decades ago. Specifically, it describes the conflicts that are detected in the area of study, the movements' development in terms of their objectives, repertoires of action, organization and coordination.
