Resumen
Aim: Determine the relation between the gross motor skill and the specific disorder of the language in children, male and female, aged 4-5 years. Method: The sample was constituted by 167 children of Paine's commune in Chile, to which there was applied the test of TGMD-2 to evaluate his motor skill and the test TEPROSIF-R, TECAL and STSG to evaluate the disorder of the language. Results: The results show that in boys with specific disorder of the mixed language a major score in the locomotive skills and control of objects relates to minor score in the TEPROSIF-R and to a major score in the STSG. While, in the girls a major score of the skills of control of objects relates to major score in the TECAL. In children with specific disorder of the expressive language, major quotient of motor skill it relates negatively to the TEPROSIF-R and positively to the STSG. Conclussion: The study provides evidence of the benefit of motor development to improve reading comprehension skills in children with language development disorders.
